DRAWING LIGHT
Late last year I commenced another drawing featuring a door from one of the outbuildings at the historic property, Cheshunt. It’s now time to complete this work and I hope to do so in the next week.
Silent Light depicts the strong, white light that I encountered when I visited the property last year. The floor is covered in bricks and small stones. The door is stained and decorated in graffiti. The cupboard door is open, the walls are decaying. What a perfect subject!
I still have much to do especially in regards to the strong, white light and certain areas that need to be subdued.
This is a challenge that I enjoy!

I really love this – it’s like a moment in time – full of meaning and memories. The white light must have been tricky but as usual you nailed it.

Thank you Gillian. I still have some work to do and I’ll post another update soon.
