ORANGE ROCKS WIP.
Before I left for Darwin last week, I commenced a new ‘rock’ drawing.
I am still quite taken by the slag pile I photographed at Chillagoe and in this series I want to explore ‘flavoured rocks’.
What happens when rocks appear to be edible?
Why am I thinking this way?
All will be revealed when I post a photo of the completed drawing next Friday.

You must be hungry!
I really like the orange rocks, they look like they are bathed in late evening light as the sun goes down. I’m trying to think of other flavours…mint perhaps?

Can’t wait! Are those tiny portions of old bricks?

They are pieces of iron slag, Carmen, and they look very much like small stones.
