Abstracts in the Home 5.

Today we are in a hallway and today’s featured painting with its three, three dimensional shapes works beautifully with the wooden chest below and the surrounding timber features. This is one of those abstracts which falls into the “semi-abstract” category in that it contains shapes that are easily recognised. What do you see? Does one need to see anything? The shadows though give me a “rock” or an “egg” feel to the painting. Nevertheless, it’s an appropriate painting displayed in an equally appropriate setting.

Tomorrow’s blog will be a little later than usual as I am teaching all day. My class will be working with abstract concepts. I shall post some of their work in the coming week.
