DIFFERENT STROKES

PAINTED ROCKS

“Landscape Graffiti”,

Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils on Canson Pastel Board, 100 x 80cm.

Having a tendency to use my coloured pencils in a hard-edged manner, I favour subjects such as today’s featured drawing where there are clearly defined areas of colour.

It’s as close to ‘side-by-side’ colour application as I get, but it’s the way that I work. Rocks and shells are popular subjects of mine as they suit my style. It’s important to find out what you do best and concentrate on that, exploring and constantly challenging yourself.
