Today’s examples are from the one artist and are beautifully textured. Of course, you are already trying to make visual sense of both images and you can no doubt see that they are both of landscape origin, and you’re right! It doesn’t concern me where the subjects for these paintings came from, what interested me was watching the artist paint these images. Paint was layered, built up and in quick time as some of the additives in the paint shortened the drying time.

In both cases the composition works; the paintings are balanced and both have a nice feeling of movement.
