Yesterday, my wife Val and I visited the Cataract Gorge along with hundreds of others to watch a spectacular display by flood waters due to recent heavy rain in the nearby Northeast highlands. This was the biggest flood we’d had since 1958. The noise was incredible!
As usual, I took many photos, some of which may find themselves being portrayed in coloured pencil one day.
I loved the ‘energy’ and the swirling patterns made as a result of the waves pounding against the Gorge rocks.
One artist was there busily drawing with soft pastels as the crowds passed by.
During the coming week I shall post some “before and after” images on my photoblog: http://artklekosphotoblog.blogspot.com
