The latest exhibition I am hosting at Yolanda Jean Cafe in Launceston, features the work of local artists Loiuse Skabo and Pauline Winwood. Both are highly competent watercolourists and their 14 paintings are beautifully executed.
Both artists’ work is keenly sought by local patrons and no wonder as they are a wonderful snapshot of Tasmanian life in a very popular and highly collectible medium. I like the use of simple, fairly thin frames that do not detract from the sensitivity of the paintings.
This exhibition is well worth your inspection!
Have you ever exhibited your work in a cafe?
Tomorrow I shall comment on “art in cafes”.
