WEARABLE ART

SHELL JUMPER DESIGN

SHEEL JUMPER DESIGN

In the late 1980s I designed a range of woollen jumper patterns that were derived from my (at the time) pastel drawings. Today I have posted one example and the drawing (oil pastel) that inspired it.

I had several designs produced (in Tasmania), each in two colours. Although it wasn’t a huge financial success, I did learn how to write programs  for the knitting machines and had the satisfaction of seeing my drawings in a completely different way.

I have also ventured into T shirts, but that’s another story …

Tomorrow: An update on my latest drawing which features a lot more sticks than stones!
