RE-EXAMINING THE EVIDENCE

Although my trip to Cheshunt on Wednesday was to photograph particular subjects, I also wanted to re-visit the rooms that I had featured in my latest two drawings.

To my surprise I noticed a plastic mug hanging above the doorway of the first room I visited. Why was it there? Who put it there and when did they do so? I was so intent to look inside the door on my previous visit, that I forgot to look up!

The only drawback with old, unused buildings is the amount of dust and droppings that are to be found. I suffer from asthma, and am highly vulnerable to dust and droppings, which means that I cannot spend to long in such spaces. This however does not deter me!

It is very important that you spend enough time in one location to gather and observe as much information as possible. An artists cannot have too much to work with!
