BLACKLEAD PENCILS Part 8.


Today’s drawing of a scene at Oatlands, in Tasmania’s Southern Midlands, contains a lot of shadow, contrasted by areas of clean, direct light.

You will notice that the composition can be viewed in horizontal layers.

I enjoy drawing subjects where there is little tonal variation. This is no doubt due to my strong leaning towards hard-edged art.
