Today’s featured image is a close-up look at the pattern from the rock I posted yesterday.

Just look at the detail!

Of course there is much more to see than I have included. This is where the role of the artist comes into play. Decisions must be made when artists are confronted with an image so full of detail. The total area of the rock in question is so detailed, that it becomes quite confusing trying to decide what to crop, especially what to leave out.

Again Nature is the star by providing artists with such brilliant, inspiring examples to look at!

Tomorrow: Art class at Cheshunt, take 2.

  1. Gillian says:

Nature is certainly the finest artist, Richard. Amazing patterns there. I’ve asked for a USB microscope for my birthday this year for just that reason!
