It was foggy where I live on Wednesday, so I took my camera along for my early morning walk with my dog, Benson.

I have always had a fascination for Hydro poles. This goes back to my childhood when my late father worked for the Hydro Electric Commission. I used to build and draw Hydro poles. These days I photograph them and ‘play’ with the images on my computer.

To most people these poles, full of electric wires are quite ugly, and I think they’re right. But it’s within that ugliness that I find ‘artistic fodder’. The delicate, sensitive wires are such a contrast to the sturdy, solid poles.

I must continue this quest …
