How do you work in your studio? Do you sit at a table, or do you stand at an easel?

I’ve experienced neck and back problems over the years and on occasions suffer because of sitting or standing for long periods when I have been drawing.

My latest drawing (featured yesterday) was mainly created at my easel because my neck was sore, the result of the completion of two previous drawings at my drafting table.

My wife Val, suggested that I change the position of my drawing paper on my table, and raise it so I wouldn’t be looking down at it. That was a good move and helped me a lot. I also found that standing at my easel was of benefit too.
