I’m not sure where I’m headed to in this drawing which began its life as an interpretation of a piece of banana, but I’m not worried.
This is process-driven art not restricted by the constraints of realism or the dollar and I love it! This is very relaxing art; sometimes I change my mind, but you may notice that I have been working with a limited palette of Polychromos Nougat, Naples Yellow, Naples Yellow Dark, Cream, Cedar Green, Van Dyke Brown and Ivory. I have also employed an Albrecht Durer Cream.
This is my ‘soft’ abstract, I have another, much larger drawing which has ‘grown’ since I last featured it on this blog on Thursday. It’s hard-edged and gives me a nice balance to my daily working regime.
