Last Monday’s art workshop was all about the process of working with coloured pencils. Thanks to generous sponsorship from Launceston Art Supplier, Birchalls, I was able to offer some incentives to the artists. At the end of the day I awarded 3 prizes to acknowledge experimentation and individualism in regards to the work we had produced.

Today’s images are details that have a distinct abstract appeal. It’s amazing what happens when you engage a group of artists to undertake the same topic, but you ask them to approach it in their own particular way.

These works are rich in texture and design and some could be developed into larger abstract works.

Tomorrow I want to share with you a drawing that I thought was very special.
