ART RESEARCH

It was a glorious, sunny day here on Tuesday so I thought I’d take the opportunity to photograph some of the objects in my collection.

I was in the mood to do some research and although I was busy with two other drawings, I wanted to explore the idea of ‘floating objects’ using a sheet of mirror glass as a base/background.

Ideas don’t just happen when you want them. You can get great ideas at anytime and it’s important to record them for a time when you are ready to realise them art-wise.

I have a substantial collection of ideas, either printed as A4-size photos, notes in my visual diaries or stored as images on my computer.

Research is the best way to keep one’s work ‘fresh‘, varied and stimulating.
