Burnie artist Lyn Stares, sent me this photo of a painting that she recently completed following my recent series of workshops with members of the Burnie Coastal Art Group.
Lyn was unable to attend day 2 of the workshop, but completed her painting at home. What do you think of it?
When I first gazed upon the image, I was immediately drawn to a group of figures. What a wonderful composition! There is a strong three-dimensional feel and the limited palette works extremely well.
Although more semi-abstract than abstract, this artwork is well worth exhibiting.
I love this painting!

Lyn is a good friend of mine, and it doesn’t surprise me that she would produce a fabulous painting such as this. She is a fantastic artist.
I agree Lorraine, Lyn is a talented lady!
Interesting read. I wish I could make myself write such good posts onto my own blog. It is hard.
Thanks Tam, for your comments. Just keep writing posts on topics that you are passionate about. The good posts will come!
