I ‘found’ two more miniatures the other day, both being part of larger drawings I completed many years ago featuring the Liffey Valley.

It’s good now and then to look back at one’s work and see what was then important and to compare it to one’s art of today.

Experience is a great teacher, but so is confidence and self-belief. I always believe that the next drawing I do will be the best I have ever done. This is not always the case, but it’s good to have high expectations as this makes one try harder.

Complacency in art is a danger that must be avoided. Do your research, plan your work, enjoy the creative process and be rewarded with the product!
