POSITIVE & NEGATIVE 2.

This drawing of sheep at a farm near Ross, in the Midlands area of Tasmania, has a clear source of light.

There is very little white employed, but it still has a strong visual presence.

I was particularly taken by the shadows as they ‘engulfed’ the lambs.

Monday: Leaving on a jet plane.

Lovely sketch, love the dark shadows, this really has impact!

Thanks for sorting the comment problem, Richard. As you can see – it worked!

As Phil rightly says this does have an eye-popping impact. You seem to have no inhibitions about your mark-making. I always hold back and press too lightly – a good lesson.

I’m not sure, Gillian if it’s a confidence thing or a ‘can’t be bothered’ attitude that enables me to work this way. maybe it’s a bit of both!
