TROPICAL ABSTRACT

Last week I was able to complete the first in a series of small  (40 x 30cm) drawings on white Canson paper, that was inspired by the pattern on a leaf that I found at Trinity Beach.

This drawing is all about the relationships between colours. Some of the shapes are quite interesting, but it’s the colours that first took my attention.

My next drawing in this series is taken from the same leaf, but its difference from the first is the reason I want to draw it. But it will have to wait as I have a semi-abstract drawing on my table that needs attention!

Friday: An update of the semi-abstract drawing that is my current work in progress.
