In its seventh year, the Artists of the North Exhibition is the largest local art exhibition in Northern Queensland.

All mediums and facets of art are encouraged, both 2D and 3D.

Artists wishing to enter must be a member of an art society or organisation in the Cairns region.

The official opening is on Friday at the Tanks Art Centre and the exhibition concludes on Friday, June 3.

Today I have featured my entry, that of a study of a section of the Barron Falls. I would have liked to enter more (maximum of 3 entries allowed), but I didn’t complete any more in time. At least I have something to exhibit.

Thanks, April, your encouragement is very much appreciated! It will be interesting to see the exhibition. I’m on duty there later in the month and I hope to post some photos of the work on display.

  2. Tomas says:

Your work talks so eloquently. This is the powerful drawing. My hot applause and best wishes to you. Be more successful than I – 3 my blogs were stolen from me but the Arthiker still belongs to me and looks forward to you. I greatly appreciate your comments that help me a lot.
Could you help me to regain access to my stolen Art by Tomas ? I apologize for such comments, but I desperately need support at a moment. Please help me to restore my true profile.

  3. Carmen says:

I really love this painting. Good luck!
