ARTescape Part 6.

Gioia’s lovely coloured pencil painting was inspired by a visit to the Flecker Gardens during the recent Cairns ARTescape.

I love this artwork because it has a wonderful balance of realism and abstraction. There are areas of mystery that enables one to ‘drift’ and explore the composition.

As with all of the cp work I’ve featured from this workshop, there is a great deal of patience and skill involved. Gioia’s grasp of the cp technique is most commendable.

I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and I’m looking forward to Mareeba in September, and Atherton in October to further workshops and meeting more of the wonderful people that reside in FNQ.

Tomorrow: The Chillagoe trilogy is revealed.

  1. Australia is a bit far away for me but the Cairns ARTescape seems to be a fantastic experience!
