While I’m ‘in the zone’, I decided to produce a second drawing from Cow Bay in the Daintree, Far North Queensland.

This particular beach has a strong ‘spiritual’ feeling. Although at times bathed in sunshine, there is prolific rainforest along the shore which results in many areas being dimly lit.

This group of rocks was ‘in situ’, unlike my drawing from last Thursday that featured a selection of the more striking rocks from the area.

I quite like the complex composition that this drawing has. There is variety of scale and a host of colours that I hope will all come together when I post the completed drawing on Wednesday.

This drawing is 40 x 60 cm on Canson Dark Grey pastelboard using Prismacolor pencils.

Tomorrow: My ‘tattoo’ abstract is finished.
