COW BAY DRAWING COMPLETED

Quiet Corner, Cow Bay

40 x 60 cm   Prismacolor pencils on dark grey Canson pastel board

The second drawing featuring Cow Bay in the Daintree, Far North Queensland, reveals a much different palette than last week’s featured work (Thursday).

This in-situ drawing contains a vast array of coloured rocks, but there is a stillness that I quite like.

I was very much aware of the ‘loudness’ of my first Cow Bay drawing and I didn’t want to ‘rubber stamp’ a series of similar looking pieces.

It’s nice to tackle a ‘vertical’ composition now and then.

Variety is the spice of life!

Richard-hello, I’m thinking how much your hands are going to hurt during your work on the enormous piece you’re planning. I’ve been colouring with pencils for two days solid and my thumb joint is complaining. Love your rocks. Magda
