AN ABSTRACT IN THE TROPICS WIP 2.

My latest work, an abstract drawing, is starting to take shape.

There are 3 distinct ‘layers’ that I want to relate to each other before this drawing is deemed to be completed.

This certainly has been a test of my patience and endurance. At 60 x 40 cm this drawing requires a great deal of work, but it’s enjoyable.

Liking what one is doing (process) makes the task of producing artwork (product) a memorable one for all the right reasons.

On Friday I will post a photo of the completed drawing.

Lovely Richard, how are you finding working with the bright blue, it feels like its not something that you normally work with? But great to see 🙂

Hi Belinda. It’s important that artists challenge themselves from time to time. On this occasion I am enjoying working with a different palette and on white pastel board. Regards, Richard

at first glimpse, it was a beach – not a photo but the living seashore. I experienced tender touch of good blow at once and recognized lots of figures in your drawing. Few were walking by but others were gazing at me … I love this artwork. It’s the soul documentary. Thank you for the picture that brighten up hard musing on my art by Tomas blog.
