TROPICAL VOID

Tropical Void

Polychromos coloured pencils on white Canson pastel board    60 x 40 cm

The second in my series of tropical abstracts is completed.

After all the detail surrounding the focal point I opted to have a very minimalist ‘void’, rather than more detail.

This is a relatively ‘busy’ composition and I didn’t want to make it too confusing.

It’s something different,  a refreshing change from my rock theme.

My next task is to complete my Glover entry now that I am back in Cairns. We intend to leave in early November and start our drive down the Eastern Australian coast.

Next Tuesday we are off to Darwin for a week and I’m looking forward to gathering some more ideas.

Tomorrow: Chapter 2 of My Glover Diary.

That’s brilliant – it looks like fun to do as well. I can see Aboriginal influences at work there too – and that is very appealing. x

This is just wonderful. I love the color and the whole idea here.
