Rocks feature prominently in the Bible and have great symbolic meaning from stoning in the Old Testament, to ‘Upon this rock, I will build my church”, said by Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

I see rocks as the building blocks of the landscape. They are often strong-looking. Shadows and light enhance their surfaces and textures and pattern give them character.
