Mulambin Beach lies about 8kms from Yeppoon in Queensland and we checked it out last week. Like so many of the beaches in this area its shallow shoreline results in massive expanses of sand at low tide and they are great for long walks.

I noticed an interesting cliff from a distance and upon investigation I discovered some remarkable rock formations. I certainly intend to feature an aspect of this area in my exhibition in March 2012.

Today I have posted some examples of weathering accompanied by the same images inverted. Some of them make for excellent paintings. I love the ‘organic’ feel that some have and their abstract qualities.

More grist for my artistic mill!
