I had every intention of “leaving” Hervey Bay and heading south to Yeppoon for inspiration for my next painting. I even spent time looking through a number of photos and I had selected 3 that I thought had merit. But on looking back through my collection of Hervey Bay photos I found several that “grabbed” me, hence my decision to paint my third composition of rocks.
As with the first two, this painting is in “landscape” format, but my next will be in “portrait”.
There is something about the rocks that I photographed at Hervey Bay that I find rather fascinating. The colours and abstract patterns are quite unique and paintings from this area will more than compliment those that I have already completed for my exhibition next March.
