In preparation for a workshop next month, I came across this abstract that is another in my series of “abstracts from nature”.

It isn’t fully resolved, but there’s enough information for one to understand what’s ‘going on’.

This painting is based on the pattern on a large rock that I discovered not far from where I live.

The shapes, marks and colours form an interesting composition that has a strong ‘landscape’ feel.

This painting could be seen as both a ‘landscape’, or an ‘abstract’.

How do you see it?
